Bladder Problems - Bladder Control
Good bladder control is something most of us take for granted. Incontinence does not just affect the elderly; a 'weak' bladder is a very common problem for many younger people.
The effects of poor bladder control can vary from being a bit of a nuisance to seriously affecting a womans quality of life. Many women say they first noticed the problem during their first pregnancy but that it became worse with future pregnancies and vaginal deliveries. The nuisance of having to find a toilet is always at the back of their minds.
Years down the line women's lives can become dominated by bladder problems causing them to feel self conscious, lose confidence and even become depressed. Many women adapt their lifestyles and struggle on with a condition that is often easily treatable.
It's important to remember:
- It is not normal to be stuck with a bladder problem just because you're a woman and you have had children
- Not to give up and resort to buying incontinence pads as the only solution (no matter how glamorous the manufacturers make the adverts appear!)
